I have such a strong feeling that this coming year is going to be my year in dance—and I don’t mean like I’m going to be the HBIC of the team, no no—but I am so ready to put my everything into the team and myself. I know that I have grown exponentially as a dancer the past three years, and senior year is the time where I should be at my “peak,” but I still have so much to learn and so much potential to reach my goals. I don’t want to think of my senior year on dance as a time to just go through the motions. I want to think of it as a time to push myself that much harder because my time on the team is limited. High school dance team has been the major influence on my dancing ability, and I don’t want to lose everything it has taught me. Hopefully, by the end of the season, I can say that I didn’t waste a single moment of it. I dream of being a Blazer Dancer, and now is the time to really work and strive for it.

The end of dance season has never felt more exhilirating than this one. Getting 3rd place is such a big deal, with all the teams we were up against. It was a well deserved accomplishment because I know each and every girl on the team has worked so so hard. I’m just so proud that everything we’ve done has paid off :’) so many tears of joy last night ! But also some sad ones, because I just want to keep dancing with the same group of girls ): no new members, no old ones. I really have to step it up next year as a senior (and possibly captain) so hopefully the incoming members next year can feel what we all felt this year. Century may have been the underdogs, but we’re at the top and we’re gonna stay there!
